Aw, that was funny. I think you probably underestimated your guys' potential though. You should give yourself a little credit! But probably better funny, though!

True. I think credit should be given where credit is deserved - one shouldn't be that hard on themselves - or their team!

Ok, but have you been reading the thread (even though interrupted by a 2 month hiatus? This team was awful, and although I do see a little exaggeration here, awful! I also find it incredible myself.

Yep, I'd say incredulity is a better response when you've pulled one out of your a** than saying how great you are. No problems with the lack of credit with me!

Nah, why give credit? Sounds silly!

Ok, moving past whether "credit" is due or not. Question: (most likely to the author). Do you think there's going to be more crew stories or not? Because I prefer non-crew stories. Nothing against crew, just not my bag. Just wondering...

Blashphemy! There is nothing better than crew stories! Alright, perhaps there is...but for me, I like it.

Seems like there's a bit of discussion like this every time a thread goes past four + stories. I think in places, this thread has been a little like the card thread, because I think it could have ended sooner, but that's just a matter of opinion.

True. I think it depends on the story, and your level of involvement in the story. As I recall, the "Card" series you refer too was alternatively lambasted and praised. I think it hinges on what you like - or not.

Yes, and no. I think its the story. Some of the longer ones maybe could use some editing. I think there's been plenty of long threads - e.g., sailing that people enjoyed - or fighting. Or maybe the readers just like fighting because of the drama. I think at times there was drama here (this thread) but now, not so much.

I do likely a good fight...or a good fight story.
I think the above points have a good theme - could be preference, and I do think editing is a little key too. I also think maybe perhaps people think this is a little long because of the aforementioned 2 month hiatus of the LA.

Something else to think bout. Don't keep using "thread" when you mean "story", because when I see "thread" I think discussion and its confusing. I think the rowing could go too though.

Ok, self-appointed moderator:)
Anyhow, I think the STORY is not overly long, but he could edit it some. I think though, we're really talking 2 stories here, the "race" and the "race-prep". In that case, probably not long. Plus, sometimes you need a good backgruond, which I like, because he always delivers that.

I guess also its worth pointing out that if you don't like the rowing, you could always go into the second blod aka the firering, because the stories there while longer are different and pretty good.
